MEETINGS

Our meetings are informal and new members receive instruction and advice in a friendly, sharing environment. Materials are available to enable beginners to start basketry when they attend a meeting.

EXHIBITIONS & GALLERY

Members' works are regularly exhibited and many have been acquired by galleries and museums throughout Australia and are included in private collections overseas.

Contemporary basketry has evolved from one of the oldest crafts known to humanity.

Members of Basketry SA use traditional methods, including those of ethnic and indigenous cultures to create both practical baskets and sculptural forms.

MEETINGS
Local and regional groups meet regularly:

General Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday and 4th Sunday of the month at 196 South Road, Mile End. There are other basketry groups who meet regularly in Murray Bridge, the Adelaide Hills, South Coast, Southern Vales, Yorke Peninsula, Pt Lincoln and Burra.
