BSA FACEBOOK GROUP, MEMBER RULES
1. Basketry Related Content Only: This group is only for posts and discussions relating to basket making. This is not the forum to discuss questions/concerns relating to the administration of Basketry SA and/or regional groups, members are encouraged to respectfully approach the BSA President.
2. Self Promotion: Give more than you take to this group. Excessive self-promotion is discouraged and will be monitored.
3. Advertising or Spam: Product promotion, advertisements, spam and irrelevant links aren’t allowed, e.g. no advertising of classes and market tables etc. outside of official Basketry SA events.
4. Be Mindful of Overuse: Avoid over-posting. Encourage member participation by allowing all voices to be heard and valued.
5. Be Kind and Courteous: We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
6. Make sure everyone feels safe: Hate Speech or Bullying of any kind and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity isn’t allowed. Comments meant to harass, threaten or abuse an individual will also not be tolerated.
7. Copyright or intellectual property rights: When posting, be aware that the content does not violate copyright and/or intellectual property rights. Acknowledge a teacher, workshop or strongly connected traditions in postings wherever possible.
8. Respect Everyone’s Privacy/Collection of private information: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the group should stay in the group. Members are encouraged not to request or provide personal information such as home addresses and contact numbers in this forum.
9. Discussions of illegal activity will not be tolerated.
10. Report: Members are encouraged to ‘flag’ heated conversations, inappropriate content or other infringement of the Group Member Rules for the Basketry SA Member’s Group using the ‘Report to admin tool’ so that moderators can review and consider further action.
The Basketry SA Member’s Group will be monitored and content determined to be inappropriate, in poor taste, or otherwise contrary to the purposes of the forum set out in the Group Member Rules above may result in a member being removed from the Basketry SA Member’s Group.
