Basketry SA members generously share their skills and learn from each other.

The skills and expertise of our members has developed since the association was founded over 40 years ago, you just have to visit our Exhibitions & Gallery page to see the contemporary works of the modern basket weaver. Many members experiment with natural fibres and with sustainability issues high in our minds, many man-made materials are being recycled in ways you may never have imagined.

Biennial National Gatherings bring basket weavers from around Australia together over 3 days of workshops, bazaars and social activities where new skills are shared amongst members. Regular workshops also bring members together to pass on techniques, ideas and inspiration.

Exhibitions, demonstrations and trading tables provide members with an opportunity to present their work and where possible, sell their pieces to the public.
